Alors Sisinnes, gouverneur de Célésyrie et de Phénicie, et Sathrabuzanes, avec leurs compagnons, suivant les commandements du roi Darius,
Then Sisinnes the governor of Celosyria and Phenice, and Sathrabuzanes, with their companions following the commandments of king Darius,
Surveillèrent très soigneusement les œuvres saintes, aidant les anciens des Juifs et les gouverneurs du temple.
Did very carefully oversee the holy works, assisting the ancients of the Jews and governors of the temple.
Et ainsi les œuvres saintes prospérèrent, quand Aggée et Zacharie les prophètes prophétisèrent.
And so the holy works prospered, when Aggeus and Zacharias the prophets prophesied.
Et ils achevèrent ces choses par le commandement du Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, et avec le consentement de Cyrus, de Darius et d'Artaxerxès, rois de Perse.
And they finished these things by the commandment of the Lord God of Israel, and with the consent of Cyrus, Darius, and Artexerxes, kings of Persia.
Et ainsi la sainte maison fut achevée le vingt-troisième jour du mois d'Adar, la sixième année de Darius, roi des Perses.
And thus was the holy house finished in the three and twentieth day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of Darius king of the Persians
Et les enfants d'Israël, les prêtres, les Lévites, et les autres de la captivité qui s'étaient joints à eux, firent selon les choses écrites dans le livre de Moïse.
And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and others that were of the captivity, that were added unto them, did according to the things written in the book of Moses.
Et pour la dédicace du temple du Seigneur, ils offrirent cent taureaux, deux cents béliers, quatre cents agneaux ;
And to the dedication of the temple of the Lord they offered an hundred bullocks two hundred rams, four hundred lambs;
Et douze boucs pour le péché de tout Israël, selon le nombre des chefs des tribus d'Israël.
And twelve goats for the sin of all Israel, according to the number of the chief of the tribes of Israel.
Les prêtres aussi et les Lévites se tinrent revêtus de leurs vêtements, selon leurs lignées, dans le service du Seigneur Dieu d'Israël, selon le livre de Moïse ; et les portiers à chaque porte.
The priests also and the Levites stood arrayed in their vestments, according to their kindreds, in the service of the Lord God of Israel, according to the book of Moses: and the porters at every gate.
Et les enfants d'Israël qui étaient de la captivité célébrèrent la Pâque le quatorzième jour du premier mois, après que les prêtres et les Lévites eurent été sanctifiés.
And the children of Israel that were of the captivity held the passover the fourteenth day of the first month, after that the priests and the Levites were sanctified.
Ceux qui étaient de la captivité ne furent pas tous sanctifiés ensemble : mais les Lévites furent tous sanctifiés ensemble.
They that were of the captivity were not all sanctified together: but the Levites were all sanctified together.
Et ainsi ils sacrifièrent la Pâque pour tous ceux de la captivité, et pour leurs frères les prêtres, et pour eux-mêmes.
And so they offered the passover for all them of the captivity, and for their brethren the priests, and for themselves.
Et les enfants d'Israël qui étaient revenus de la captivité en mangèrent, ainsi que tous ceux qui s'étaient séparés des abominations des peuples du pays, et qui cherchaient le Seigneur.
And the children of Israel that came out of the captivity did eat, even all they that had separated themselves from the abominations of the people of the land, and sought the Lord.
Et ils célébrèrent la fête des pains sans levain pendant sept jours, se réjouissant devant le Seigneur,
And they kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days, making merry before the Lord,
De ce qu'il avait tourné le conseil du roi d'Assyrie vers eux, pour fortifier leurs mains dans les œuvres du Seigneur Dieu d'Israël.
For that he had turned the counsel of the king of Assyria toward them, to strengthen their hands in the works of the Lord God of Israel.
